PHILLYJUNK.COM IS FIRST TO SUPPORT EDUCATION AND ORGANIZATION

NAPO-GPC AND PHILLYJUNK.COM RAISE THE PROFESSIONAL BAR

The National Association of Professional Organizers hosts a national conference each year. The purpose is to educate professional organizers on the latest trends, techniques, and discoveries in the field. Attendance raises the bar for professional standards and the value professional organizers bring to their clients. However, the recession has made attendance a financial challenge for some small business owners.

In steps Marty Ingram, Owner of PhillyJunk.com and a Corporate Associate Member of the National Association of Professional Organizers – Greater Philadelphia Chapter. In late August, PhillyJunk.com fully funded the first NAPO-GPC/PhillyJunk.com 2012
Scholarship Program. The scholarship allows one chapter member to go to the annual conference, all expenses paid.

NAPO-GPC is a non-profit organization who mission is to educate members, promote the highest stands of ethics and professional competence, and raise public awareness about the benefits of organizing. Members of NAPO-GPC improve the lives of their
residential and business clients by organizing their surroundings, creating systems and processes, and transferring skills so clients learn to stay organized.

PhillyJunk.com has a very simple business model. They provide residential and commercial junk removal with exemplary customer service. In addition to funding the NAPO-GPC/PhillyJunk.com 2012 Scholarship, Ingram has found other creative ways to give back. Marty has turned the maxim, “One man’s trash is another man’s treasure” into a way to invest in his community. Employees use company time and vehicles to find deserving homes for gently used furniture and accessories their clients no longer
need.

Together NAPO-GPC and PhillyJunk.com have created a wonderful program that improves the professional life of the scholarship recipient, raises the bar for the professional community, and increases the benefits countless future clients will receive.
